Leadership culture and the management system

The formal and informal management structures must be functioning smoothly in order for the organization to act as one efficient unit. Nevertheless, most organizations have become use to a high degree of inefficiency in the management system. As part of large changes, we always recommend increasing the efficiency in the management system.

 

It is a fact, that an organization is a living organism undergoing constant changes. It is utopia to believe that parts of an organization or individuals can be developed without a mutual influence between people and the organization/culture.

 

It is crucial to have the overall conditions in place when an organizational, commercial or strategic change is undertaken. Are the conditions enhancing or working against the change? Do they need adjustment or to be re-worked? Or, are the conditions fixed, which require us to reconsider how a change under these circumstances should be undertaken?

 

Since both the leadership culture and the management system are crucial for the organizational efficiency, both should consciously support the strategy and vice versa. This responsibility lies within top management.
